When I'm called to duty god
wherever flames may rage
give me strength to save a life
whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child
before it is too late
or save an older person from
the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert
to hear the weakest shout
and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out

I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me
to guard my neighbor and
protect his property

And if according to your will
I have to lose my life

About US
Seman is a rural community located between Santuck and Equality. Our department's coverage area is approximately 42 square miles with roughly 3400 residences. We are a fully volunteer department  that has been active since 1976 and was the seventh fire department to be added to Elmore county. We currently have 30 active members with a class 6 ISO rating.


Mission Statement

SOP:

• The purpose of this SOP is to aid all members of the Seman Fire Department in performing their jobs. It is based on sound practices and provisions that have been developed over a period of time from a variety of sources.

Our Goals:

• It is the goal of Seman Fire Department to make the Seman Coverage Area a better, Safer place to live and raise a family. This goal will only be achieved though the dedication and responsible actions of all members of the Seman Fire Department.

Objectives:

• The stated objectives of the Seman Fire Department in the furtherance of these goals is to provide well-trained, capable personnel who will protect the lives and property of all citizens of and or visitors to all the areas Covered by Seman Fire Department, and to serve them to the fullest extent. This service will be without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national orgin, financial standing or personal gain. Further, to provide the best possible service to the people for the tax dollar spent.
  

Letter from our Chief

Firefighters with Seman Volunteer Fire Department Have a long-standing tradition. These Dedicated Citizens give there time to serve their community. Not enough can be said to express the importance of their role in providing fire protection and live saving services to the citizens of this community and surrounding area. The nucleus of this department is built upon friendship, cooperation, and the desire to provide care and protection to those they serve.
